Lou Rinaldi, M.P.P. for Northumberland-Quinte West announced on April 25, 2008 that the province will invest $4.8 million toward the building of a new school to accomodate the needs of the students of Castleton and South Cramahe Public School.
"We are thrilled to have this commitment form the Provincial government to build a new school for Cramahe Township" states Mayor Marc Coombs. "The advantages of a new school for our community will be innumerable. It will be a draw for new residents and business to Cramahe Township, provide a facility with new technology and educational infrastructure, and most of all, a terrific opportunity for the children of the community for now and into the future."
